The Official Gazette of the Republic of Cuba today published Resolution 382/20 that will contribute to the reduction of the terms of registration in the Property Registries and to the elevation of the quality of legal services provided by the System of the Ministry of Justice.
When issuing the aforementioned regulations, which will enter into force on September 1 of the current year, Oscar Silvera Martínez, head of Justice, ordered the categorization of the Property Registries into three categories, which imply the time available to the registrars for their work.
Those of the first category will have up to 10 business days, seven for the second and five for the third.
However, to avoid unnecessary inconvenience, people should know that in cases related to the Transfer of Assets and Inheritance, if the interested party does not accredit the payment of the corresponding tax at the time of the request, the term begins to run from the moment in which that requirement is met.
Likewise, the Resolution also provides that the registration deadlines begin to run at the same time as the filing entry in the Daily Book of the Property Registry and even gives the possibility - exceptionally - to extend it up to 30 business days in those cases. in which the acting Registrar needs to verify with the entities involved in the matter the legality of the title presented.
Resolution 382/20 is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Justice to raise the quality of its services, reduce whenever possible the quantity and number of procedures for the population and satisfy the growing demand with the seriousness and respect that its clients deserve. .
