In the current situation, Camagüey's urban public transport service is aimed at the health sector, mainly hospital workers and polyclinics who are going to fulfill their job functions, stated here Miguel Arias Vázquez, representative of the Company Provincial of Transport, during an appearance in the Special Informative Magazine of the local television.

He said that there are eleven other institutions to which the service is provided. In this way, they approach people to the labor groups that guarantee essential productions and other services. This is decided based on the suspension of transport, a measure that ensures social isolation in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The transportation scheme has been organized from different points of the city in which, in addition, specialized Company media from other entities such as School Transportation and Taxi Cuba participate in coordinated action of the different subgroups of Public Health and Insurance of the logistics, subordinate to the Provincial Defense Council.

During the first two days of implementing this type of service, more than 3,500 passengers were transported, not only from the Camagüey municipality but from the rest of the territories in need of mobility of health workers, doctors, paramedics and nurses.

For Jimaguayú, Minas and Santa Cruz they have transportation located in charge of taking workers to those territories, prior coordination.

Arias Vázquez explained that the process must continue to be perfected and organized to avoid insufficiencies in the transportation of personnel committed to exercising their functions in this anomalous situation.

He explained that the agreement made with the health subgroup for those with medical shifts, the interested parties, or a family member, should go the day before to the family doctor, who confirms the need through the documents they carry.

In this way, the information is transferred to the highest health authority and from this to the ambulance center of the integrated system of medical emergencies, a service to be offered in this specialized medium, in a micro or other transport.

Due to the dispersion of health workers, five starting points have been created:
